a light at the end of the tunnel.
Felt a bit better today, didn't sleep as much, and spasms seemed not as fierce.
Yea! me! (as London Tipton would say)
Tomorrow night is Doodles christmas play.
My mind must be like a sieve, as i don't remember there being a Hippy Austrailian surfer in the christmas plays when I was growing up.
Well, there is now and Doodles is it.
Should be interesting.

Draw a line
under today, and know that tomorrow brings something new.
I have always heard that, and it use to work.
Now, I know tomorrow will be like today, and I'm dreading it.
I know when I started this, I told a few of you I'd try to be honest in how I feel physically and mentally, but to honest (ha! there ya go, honesty!) I do try to gloss over it and make it into a joke, maybe that makes it not so bad, or makes me braver to face it?!
Going thru a bad period with chronic fatigue right now, and spasms, got good drugs, but I hate taking drugs, and try not to as much as possible.
My doc tells me that I 'try to be brave' and wait to long to take the pills or come see him, but I don't think it's bravery at all, it's not wanting to 'need' all the pills I have to take, and to add to that, really makes me uneasy and I don't want to have to depend on them.
I guess I just can't face that fact that I have to depend on all these pills to keep me functioning, or what my body can call functioning, but it's not much and is it worth it?
Some days, when I feel better, and the pain is less, I will think 'hey, this is good, maybe the doctor is wrong, and I don't have this', but then I try to walk down the garden path, or across the room, and I feel the pain, and it hits me all over again, that I'm nothing anymore, that I can't do anything anymore.
Geez guys, see what happens when you make me blog!!
drivvle, it's all drivvle!

Bad day turned good
The day started rough.
Lots of pain and fibro fog today.
I've slept alot today, due to pain pills and the usual lack of energy brought on by fibro.
THEN.......
My day improved.
What caused the the improvement?
Fritos!!
Yep, that's right! England finally decided to release netties goodies from being hostage.
Now if I could just stay awake long enough to eat some! lol

Pulling a nettie...
and squeaking by.
Was shutting down laptop to go to bed, when I realized I hadn't posted yet.
So, here is my post.
Oh, I'm suppose to talk about my day? say something profound? tell a story?
Well, most exciting thing to happen today was..........................
I took my first shower in my new bathroom.
There ya go. My exciting life.

I'm speechless
Or is that....
I'm typeless?
wordless?
keyless?
I just don't know what to say.
Or I have to much to say, but don't know how to say it.

Lazy saturday
DH is snoring in his chair, Doodles is on the floor playing with his lego.
I'm sitting here wondering where in England netties candies are sightseeing, as they haven't graced my door yet.
I'm sad to think fritos are here, in this land of knights and castles, and I can't reach them. Oh the tragedy of it.....
The christmas tree is sparkling in the corner, though it is a little tipsy.
It's peaceful in the house tonight.
I'm thinking maybe KFC for supper, so we don't even have to cook.

Quiet nights
It's really quiet here tonight.
Bathroom is usable again, though no flooring in yet.
I went in to tell Doodles that it's bed time and found him sound asleep already.
DH is out tonight, at the company christmas party. He just texted to say that he's staying later than he thought he would, so it will be quiet for a while yet.
I'm trying to decide, do i want to go to bed, or stay up and catch up on sky+ shows?
Decisions, Decisions.
I don't like the quiet.

I did it and
Didn't know I did it.
When I got up this morning, I thought ' oh no! I've already blown Holidailies, and missed the first day of posting'.
Then I had a look and low and behold, I did blog yesterday, to say I blew nablahblahblah month.
Ha! Blowing one, helped the other, I'm on a roll.
I have a problem though. I need the loo.
hhmmmmmm
Tiler is in bathroom tiling. Remember, I'm getting a new bathroom? All week, it's been a bare room with only the seat part of the toilet sitting in it. So at least we could use that.
I don't know the tiler. I don't want to go 'Excuse me please, could I use the loo, please?'
How embarrassing!!
But then again, I just told you guys I need the loo, so how much more embarrassing could it be?
Wonder if he's doing a lunch break? I could sneak in there then.
How's that Netster? Two days done! lol

Can you
Hear the noise?
Yes, you! Over the pond and far away.
Oh my ears.
Oh my aching head.
They began the journey to a new bathroom today.
They are, as I type, jackhammering thru 3! yes, I said 3! layers of tiling and the cement layers between each one.
Why oh why did the previous owners simply concrete new tiles over old ones, 3 times!
Our landlords have decided to redo the bathroom, as it was greatly needed, and we are very thankful they are having it done.
But the noise is an octave above the last octave that my nerves can handle. lol
*Breathe in* * Breathe out* The new bathroom will be great, with NO mushrooms growing in it. * Breathe in * Breathe out*

Hello?
DD: Hi mum, you okay today?
Mom: Yep, how are you? You work today?
DD: Yes, but not till 4pm. Get off at midnight.
Mom: How you getting home?
DD: I'm walking.
Mom: Your not walking alone are you?
DD: *sounds like rolling her eyes* Of course not mum, I have friends walking with me.
I'm not dumb.
Mom: Okay, just checking.
Mom: What's up?
DD: Remember the present Widget brought me??
Mom: Yep.
DD: It wasn't a mouse.
Mom: Okay, what was it?
DD: baby boy
Mom: Oh no! How did Widget get Diesel?
DD: Diesel escaped his cage and got out of the bathroom somehow.
Mom: Poor Widget!
DD: What?!? poor Widget??
Mom: yes! you was mad wasn't you?
DD: Well, yeah!
Mom: you ignored Widget, didn't you?
DD: yea, all day.
Mom: So, let me get this straight..........
you ignored a tiny kitten, who is use to constant love and attention when your home, for doing what any cat would do, and catch a mouse (who in the case was NOT a mouse and in this case escaped a cage on it's own) and bring it to you, her mommy, who she thought would praise her and be happy with her for doing her job.
DD: Mum?
Mom: huh?
DD: How do you do that?
Mom: Do what?
DD: Make me feel guilty, by not actually saying I did anything wrong.
Mom: Practice
DD: Mum?
Mom: Huh?
DD: I gotta go, I need to play with Widget, huh?
Mom: Yep, I'm sure she's sad.
DD: Mum? I love you.
Mom: Love you too.
DD: Thank you.

Diesel
Have I ever told you about Diesel?
Diesel is DD's pet russian miniature hamster. I've babysat with Diesel many times, he is so cute and tiny.
About 2 inches long and very cuddly.
DD has had Diesel about 2 yrs. I enjoyed babysitting him, as he had this plastic ball I could put him in and he'd roll all around the floor.

DD: Did I tell you what Widget did?
Mom: Nope, what did she do? How is she?
DD: She's fine. She brought me a present.
Mom: What? Did she poo on the floor?
DD: (laughs) nope, I got home from work about midnight, and she had already greeted me
and let me know she missed me, then she ran off and came back and dropped something on
my foot.
It was a mouse mum! I ran next door to the landlords to come and get it, I didn't want to
touch it.
Mom: (laughs at the image of DD standing on stool screaming) Did she come get it? (Landlords
are women)
DD: Nope, she told me to use a paper towel.
Mom: Did you?
DD: NO!!!!!! I called Dan to come get it.
Mom: You called Dan (DD's best friend) to come get a dead mouse at midnight?!? Did he? (Dan lives about 10 minutes from DD)
DD: Of course.
Mom: At least Widget loves you enough to bring you a gift.
DD: Thanks Mum. *rolling eyes i'm sure*

Mindless typing
Here is my first attempt at catching up.
I've not figured out how many I need, but I KNOW I need more.
Have you ever thought what it would be like to be married to Homer Simpson?
Talk about variety in life, you would never know what would be happening next.
Spider pig, Spider pig.........
doh!
uuuuhhhhmmmmm donuts!
But one thing I will say. He leaves no doubt in your mind that he loves Marge.
Guess you figured out that I'm sitting here watching simpsons. lol
Doods is watching it, and I'm typing, but my eyes keep drifting away to the tv.
See what happens when I get behind, I talk nonsense.
I really think I use mindless typing to keep me from typing things that are really going on, like pain, crap days, useless carers, cut fingers and pain.
Okay, enough, i'm starting to make sense, and that means it's time to stop. lol

Not so good day.
Will be a short post tonight, as I'm feeling quite alot of pain tonight. Must be the need for fritoes!
I wonder if Doc Hero could write me a prescription for them, and have them shipped over.
Naw, your right, wouldn't work.
Darn.
DH is busy driving on his PS3, Doodles is settled into his bed for the night, and I just checked on my many farms and the fish, and my fairy and settled them all for the night, now I'm gonna go and get into snuggly jammies, take some more pain meds and snuggle up on the couch in my duvet and wait for celebrity to come on. I think it's on at 9pm.
See ya'll tomorrow!

Widget
Did I ever tell ya'll about Widget? Though Widget used to be Ra'ja.
Confused yet?
Dear Daughter ( DD from here on out) called me one day in tears... "Mum, they put my kitty outside in the cold and won't let her in..... will you keep her till I get my own place?"
Darling Hubby had vetoed the idea of a kitty, cuz our landlord said no, so I placed a call to him and risked the wrath of DH to take poor kitty in.
DD said 'Her name is Ra'ja and she's 7 weeks old'. AAAAWWWWWWWWW!!!!!

She quickly conquered everyone around and was dearly loved by all.
She was the runt of litter and was so very tiny and loved to play.
I quickly became her mummy, since we didn't see DD very often, as she lived in Coventry.
Ra'ja was so tiny, so lovable and needed, but such a pain in the bum sometimes, that I took to calling her Widget, as one of those sometimes neccessary things we use on the pc's, that we love to hate.
Well, long story short, she looked like a Widget and it quickly stuck firmly. Oooopppssss.
Mum (talking to DD on the phone): Guess what Widget did today?
DD: Widget?
Mum: Yes, she was so cute.
DD: Widget who? Who is that?
Mum: You know. Widget.
DD: eeeerrr.... No. I don't know any widget.
Mum: The baby, you know.... Widget! 4 paws, cuddly, playful, lots of fur?? Widget!
DD: Mum, you didn't rename my cat did you? Mmuuumm! (said only as a frustrated teen could)
Mum: ooopppsss, guess I forgot to tell you that she looks like a widget, so I called her that, then Dad called her that, then sam called her that and now she answers to that only. Oh, did I mention Nan called her that, too?
DD: Mum, you can't just rename my cat. I'll fix it when she comes home with me. Never mind, what did she do that was so cute?
Mum: eeerrrr I don't remember now.
HA! When Mum does something she does it well!
Did I tell ya'll that same little kitty, who I had for about 8 weeks, that was with me nearly 24/7, including sleeping with me, (she even pushed DH out of bed a few times), now sports a lovely new collar with the name of 'Widget' emblazoned on it, bought no less, by DD.
What Mum does...... STICKS!
Widget was always really soft with me, as if she knew to be gentle, and she would lay for hours in the crook of my elbow while I was on the couch, and if i was in bed, she was laying on top of me.
She insisted on sleeping with me, believe me, we tried to keep her out, but she's one determined little thing, she would even sit outside the bathroom door, if i dared to close the door, and would cry pitifully for me until I came out.
We had her for about 8 weeks, and letting her go with DD, was heart breaking for me, I have missed her so much, as she was so much company for me during the day.
I was so worried, she wouldn't know me when I went over there.
I seen her today, first time in 2 weeks.
It was so lovely today, to go over to DD's (who now proudly has her first 'own' place), she has had Widget back with her for 3 weeks, and it was so nice, to sit down on DD's couch, and the first thing that happens, is Widget, jumps into my lap and curls up in the crook of my arm and starts purring.
Made tears come to my eyes, I sure miss her home with me and it was lovely to know that she hadn't forgotten our little 'ritual' and she wanted it once again.

How did I do that?
I just had a look and i'm a few days behind on this thing!
How did that happen? Where did those days go?
I just booked some tickets for me and my MIL to go and see New Moon, which opens on friday.
When did I book them for you ask??
Friday morning, first showing! DUH!!
Darling Hubby is ever so patient with my fixation on Twilight, though he has lots of practice, since I've gotten his mum hooked as well!
Go! Team Cullen!!
Okay, this makes up for a missed one, and if I remember, I'll do another before bed.

What to say?
Okay, this doesn't bode well for the whole blog once a day thingymajigger we are doing.
I don't know what to say.
I'm tired tonight and hurt quite a bit, guess I did to much today. Of course on the 'normal' person scale, what I did would have been nothing, but on my scale, I've over done it.
Maybe that is why my brain is dead. lol
Or not....
I'd like to do nothing tomorrow, but I have to go to Evesham to return the wheelchair that we rented for a week.
Can't wait till I can have my own, so we can quit renting one all the time.
Oh, we had Doodles parent/teacher conference tonight, and the teacher was very positive and quite impressed with our little park mascot. Seems he has quite a talent with writing.
It was a good meeting, and made us proud.
Maybe one day I'll type one of his stories on here for you. He has his Robin Hood story he wrote at school, hanging up in the hall in front of his classroom.
He's a star!
I don't know what to say.

Maybe one day I'll type one of his stories on here for you. He has his Robin Hood story he wrote at school, hanging up in the hall in front of his classroom.
He's a star!

Feeling like Monday
Today has felt like Monday all day. Not that it's been a bad day, but it's dreary and rainy and just feels like it's ages till the weekend.
I love the weekend, because it's when my love is home for two whole days.
I miss people during the week. Being home alone is not fun. At least not day after day after day.
I want to go for a walk. A real walk, not in a wheelchair, or with my crutches.
See, I told you it feels like a Monday! lol

Let sleeping hubby lie........
House is quiet, except for the gentle buzzzzzzzz from DH...
oh and the lovely rock band playing neighbors who NEVER play to loud or to late........ Did I sound saracastic enough there?? Yes? Good!!
Doodles is asleep, he was really tired, so put him to bed early, DH went to bed about two hours ago and he just wandered thru the living room wondering where I was, not pleased to see me sitting here typing.
I forgot to do online grocery shopping to be delivered tomorrow.
He forgot to remind me.
I forgot to remind him to remind me to do the shopping.
He forgot to remind me to remind him to remind me to do the shopping.
You get the picture??
So just finished the shopping and remembered that I'd forgotten to post.
Boy, this day is getting longer!
I'm now going to bed.
Anything else I've forgotten, will just have to remain that way!

Speechless.....
We have made it back home after a full day of investigating, moaning, and driving.
I have fallen in love with the last place we stopped at.
I loved pics of it when I seen them, but they can do NO justice to the actuality of it.
The Peace, Serenity, and the amazing views.
I wanted to return, even before I had left.
Tintern Abbey.
No words can do it justice, on a chilly, lazy autumn afternoon, in the hazy, occasionally sun dappled bottom of a small enclosed valley, the sun starting to lower behind the hills, with the peace of a secluded valley, the very beautiful ruins of a large Abbey that is on the shore of a babbling river and the autumn colours of the surrounding hillsides that are covered in majestic trees of every gold and brown there is.
Makes one speechless..........

Blogging from ...........
Here I am, snuggled up under my duvet, with the laptop on a cushion in front of me, with X factor on the tv to lull Doodles to sleep and Darling Hubby is snoozing next to me.
We have had a busy day with dinosaurs , fireworks, a waterfall and three castles.
We have set up camp in Caerphilly and working our way around the area.
Today we went to Dan-yr-Ogof to start off (Dinosaurs), then went to Craig-y-Nos (haunted castle).
Next came Tawe-Uchaf for the hike to the waterfall (doods and daddy.... mummy stayed and read a book in the car), and then was McDonalds for Doodles some lunch and around the corner to another castle, which is now part school (sorry can't remember the name and DH is sleeping).
Then we headed back to Caerphilly Castle which we investigated in the rain, but it was worth it!
Poor DH had to not only push my wheelchair in the rain, but then he got soaked trying to get it back in the car!
We are getting plenty of pics, so will share when we get home.
Tomorrow we check out and on the way home planning to hit a few more welsh castles and get home tomorrow evening.
Fingers crossed rain holds off!
now it's time to snuggle up under the duvet more and get some sleep!

Simply Sick
There ya go!
That about sums it up.
Remember the happy hubby from me not being able to talk?
Well he'll be happier for while yet. lol
Went to Doc Hero today, no voice (he laughed at me), coughing resurrecting some nasty spasms he had just got rid of, and other symptoms I shall spare you all the commentary on....
Diagnosis: Bronchitis...Again
We try to keep me away from ppl with even simple colds, cuz nothing is simple with me.
Except my mentality, (I hear my hubby say in my head).
It always mutates into something nasty. Not my mentality, the simple cold. lol
So, I'm back on antibiotics and (insert snickers here) no more trying to talk or whisper.
Doc Hero knows me to well!
Darling Hubby is taking a long weekend off, friday and monday off from the daily grind of work.
To bad he can't get time off from the daily grind of caring for me. lol
Anyway, back to the story......
Darling Hubby is taking me to Wales to look at old churchs and some Castles. I've not been to Wales yet, so looking forward to it.
Doodles doesn't know yet that he's been rescued from school tomorrow. lol Will surprise him in the morning.
We'll be gone from tomorrow till Sunday night, then Monday will be rest up day for DH, while Doodles is back in school.
Taking laptop to Wales with us, so will try to keep up, if not, I'll post on monday enough to catch up. lol
If your good, I might even bring back some pics for you.

Can you hear that?
Can you hear me? No?
Well, that's okay, no one else can either!
I have lost my voice.
I'm sure Darling Hubby loves this fact, and doodles gets frustrated, because when I ask him a question, he copies me and whispers the answer, and doesn't mean to!
"Mommy stop it!!" he'll say. Like I'm making him whisper and I can help having to whisper.
He's to funny!
I had my carer making phone calls for me, because if I tried to call someone, they couldn't hear me! ha ha!
So, now I not only need helping dressing, help around the house (cleaning and cooking), help walking, now I need help talking!
It makes a person wonder what good they are, when they can do nothing but cause more work.
Well, at least I can still type. For now......

Something New
Okay, I'm thinking I need a new look for the old blog.
Have patience and I'll eventually get there.
Something simple.
Something me.
Any ideas?
It may be a few days, as I'm ill at the moment.
Have been ill since Saturday night, and really feeling blah at the moment.
Come on ppl, join in the blogging, I need something to read!

Posting
Posting?!? It's that time again??
Well, I found my blog, from eons ago when I was into posting.
I thought I had lost it, a good excuse not to do the NaBlahPostThingy that Nettie loves doing.
Guess what? I found it. Darn.
Read over some things that I'd written before, boy, has my life changed since the innocent days of yesteryear.
Some good, some not so good.
Wonder if I can get the dear hubby into blogging again in the NaBlahPostThingy again, I had such fun reading his blog last year.
He is soooo funny when he writes, not that he's not funny 'in real life', he is, but if he writes it, I can sneak back to all the jokes I didn't get the first time! lol
Now I've done it...... first post is complete.
Wonder if Nettie is glowing with the pride of getting me to do what I said I wouldn't. ha ha!
