I have an Uncle, I'll call him Uncle Eddie, he's wonderful.
I have an Aunt, I'll call her Auntie Robyn and she's wonderful.
Now Uncle Eddie is not much older than me......... Actually.......... he's years and years and years older than me (I'm only 21 after all!!)
I grew up with Uncle Eddie, I'm sure being 11 yrs younger than him, I drove him nuts, but I only remember him with love and kindness.
I didn't see Uncle Eddie for about 25 yrs, I think. I was about 18 last time I seen him, until this past summer.
Early this year, February, I think, I found out daddy had lung cancer, so, even though he'd had surgery and was well on the way to recover (so we'd been told), Dear Hubby and I decided the kids and I would go over and spend time, and Dear Hubby would come over toward the end of the Holiday.
I thank God every day that we made that decision and that my Dear Hubby made it possible, as daddy passed away this past June and I was able to spend time with him.
Anyway, when I was called back to OKC from Texas, I left Dear Hubby and the kids in Texas, and I was in OKC for a week, without them, and we'd found out that daddy was terminal and spending this time with him, became paramount to me, as I knew that chances where slim that I would be able to see him again.
Uncle Eddie became the 'patriarch' of lots of grieving 'kids' (I have 5 siblings) and between him and my older brother, they made sure that we was all taken care of and things were taken care of and he was our rock.
I became closer to Uncle Eddie and my brother than I have ever been in my life.
I met Auntie Robyn for the first time when I went back to OKC to say goodbye to daddy in June.
Auntie Robyn and I got along so well, it's as if I've known and loved her forever.
She can shop! She's cool! Robyn Rocks! lol
It's strange, how ppl that you've never known or havent' seen in years, can instantaneously become so very important in your life.
Or in the case of the Parksters, how ppl you have never met, or only met briefly, can become so well loved and such an everyday part of your existence.
So I want to thank you all, for being such wonderful friends.
And you too Uncle and Auntie, for being wonderful!

Early Blog
Well, no one faint or anything, but thought I'd blog early today. (Won't mention, I just wanna get it over with! ha!)
No award for Doodles today, as he's home sick today.
Mr. J said that he'll hold onto the award till next Friday's assembly, so stay tuned for the discovery of what Doodles has achieved this week!
No work for me today, with Doodles off sick, so I'm not at the office to drive Dear Hubby batty with adiuming him. Guess I'll just have to yahoo him crazy instead! ha!
Amazing, but Dear Hubby and my desk is only a few feet apart, but only talk thru adium. Guess it's so the other employees don't get ill with all the mushy talk, they must think Dear Hubby and I never talk to each other...... if they could only see what we type though!! lol
Not much happening here, so hopefully everyone (YOU! know who you are!!) will start blogging soon, so I have plenty to read!
