humphf

It's still Monday here in BritLand.

Dear Hubby is having a real stressful time, hence the lack of blogging.

Grumpy Daughter is out of college till the 7th of January and Doodles gets out tomorrow and will be out until the 8th of January.

Dear Hubby and myself, as of 1pm tomorrow will be off until the new year as well.

Can we hear a Yippee! lol

Not much more to say, but will try to think of something amusing for later.

Is it Monday?

I think that I have been punished all day for not blogging yesterday.

It's been Monday all over again today!

Let's hope tomorrow is back to normal.

Something for Nettie

Was thinking of you earlier and found this.

Hope you enjoy it.

Lazy Day

Today has been a lazy day.

We went to church this morning and came home and fixed lunch.

After lunch we have worked on a Christmas puzzle pretty much most the day.

I have learned something new about Dear Hubby...............

He's a box top bully and doesn't play fair! ha!!

It's a really cute puzzle though, and we love to do puzzles, so it's been a good time.

Surprise!

Well, I got a surprise tonight!

Leon won!

I don't care for Rhydian, at all, It's the 'marmite syndrome', ya either love him, or ya hate him, but I was okay in the knowledge that he would win, especially after his last performance.

But then came Leon, I've liked him from the start.

Can I just say Yeah!!

HA!

I just seen this on TV and asked Dear Hubby to find it for me, so I could entertain you guys with the lovely british television we are watching.

Little Drummer Boy

Dear Hubby was just flicking thru Sky and found my fav christmas song!

Little Drummer Boy, sung by Bing Crosby and David Bowie.

Now, that helps with the christmas spirit!

Dear Bloggin Elf

Dear Bloggin Elf,

This is just a letter from your devoted Bloggee to let you know of a few problems I'm having.

First and foremost is the problem of having nothing to blog about, so if you could see it in your heart to send me something interesting to write, I'd be thankful!

Our friend Kissy seems to be having a problem with her blog, as this cookie (NOT kissy, a real live cookie!) has been smiling at me for days now and I'm beginning to think it has a crush on me, but barring that, there must be something major, as I know our dear buddy would NEVER leave us hanging without a daily entry, not to mention, a much loved and anticipated entry involving JAX.

So if you could fly yourself over to her blog and sprinkle a little inspiration (and jax dust!) around for us, we'd really apreciate it!

Now, our best mate and buddy Nettie, writes about christmas goodies and boxes and just simply is a tease, as I'm sitting here without a chocolate covered marshmallow santa to be seen!
And then she talks about holiday islands and sun and surf.

Do you get my drift? A tease, pure and simple!

So if you could possibly find the postman and bring me some marshmallow santas, that would help with the island getaway too, as you know what they say about chocolate!!

Now we get onto Simba, bless his little cotton socks, he's been so good to post pictures we request and bringing holiday cheer to his little corner of the world (and his corner of our cyber world too!).

If you could just sprinkle him with a bit of your Elf Dust, for lots of cheer and good wishes, that would be lovely, not to mention some ice for his button finger so he can continue with the great photos!

Last, but not least, my lovely Bloggin Elf, if you could send some Christmas cheer to JustAl and all the rest of us bloggers, so we can tap tap tap our keys and bring you all Christmas Joy and tales of .................. (fill in the blank, I can't think of nuttin!)

Your devoted Bloggee,

Simply Me

Little People

Dear Hubby had arrived home from work, and since he had a meeting here at home with some gentleman at 8pm, he spent some time playing with Doodles and picking up the lounge a bit.

We put Doodles to bed and when the gentlemen arrived, I took myself off to our bedroom to relax.

Did you hear that?

Where is that coming from?

Did you hear that man talking?

Maybe there's someone out back? *peeks thru blinds*

Nope. All quiet out back, but not quiet in the bedroom.

Sounds like little mice men talking.

Do we have little people??

*checking around the floor and under pillows*

SSSSHHHHH listen! Hear that??!!

HHMMM sounds like it's coming from behind the door....

Wait, now it sounds like it's from the pocket of JustAl's jacket, hanging over the door.

Is Dear Hubby keeping little people in his pocket now??

HA! It's Dear Hubby's Ipod that he left on and the little voice is the sound coming from his earphones!

HA! Little mice men, indeed!

Lonely Nights

The other night, eeeeerrrrrrr Thursday to be exact, Dear Hubby had a meeting at church to attend.

Now, Dear Hubby tries to avoid evening meetings, because he prefers to be home with the family, so it only happens a few times a month.

Grumpy Daughter was out with Bunny Boy (remember she got a job, so no longer grounded).

So, I tuck Doodles into bed and start listening to his nighttime prayers.

The part that tickled me was " and help me and mummy have a good time...... A LONELY time, but a good time."

Poor child, stuck all alone with mummy and he's bored!

Took all I had not to start giggling. But I didn't, I understand, I get lonely without Dear Hubby, too! lol

Saturday, 8 December 2007

*Sigh*

Well, it's finally happened.

Can you believe it?

She got a job.

For how long, I know not.

Happy Dance for now, though.

Grumpy Daughter landed a job in a Fashion shop called TopShop.

Hopefully, since it's to do with clothes, and being dressed up in new fashion, she may just keep this job!

Okay now, everyone.............

All together now...............

Cross your fingers!

lol

Chippy Indecision

JustAL was in London ALL day today, not planned, had planned to be back early afternoon, but ended up stuck there for the day, so needless to say, he's a very tired person.

I didn't feel up to cooking either, so this is how our conversation went..........

DH: Have you had supper?
Me: No
DH: What you gonna have?
Me: I don't know, i'll have to look. Do you want me to fix you something?
DH: What's in there?
Me: Don't know, I'll have a look.

We watch a few minutes of TV. Nobody moves.

Me: Want bab and chips?
DH: Do you?
Me: Don't really want us to cook.
DH: Yeah.
Me: I can go up to the chippy and get it.
DH: I can go. My feet hurt.
Me: Then I'll go get it.
DH: I don't mind going to get it. My feet really hurt.
Me: Then of course I'll go get it.
DH: Are you sure?
Me: If your feet hurt, you don't need to go, so I'll go.
DH: k.

I drive up to the Chippy.

Me: I'd like two doner and chips, please.
Clerk: Sorry, I just sold the last kebab meat.
Me: Let me go check with my hubby.

Phone Home.

Me: They are out of bab meat totally.
DH: Wonderful
Me: Want me to drive to Halikarna's?
DH: What do you want to do?
Me: I don't mind.
DH: I don't mind fish and chips, if they have that. I don't mind.
Me: What do you want?
DH: What do you want?
Me: I just don't want us to cook, I'm not bothered either way, if you want I'll drive up to Halikarna's.
DH: I'm okay with fish and chips, if you are.
Me: Fine, I'll get the fish and chips from here.
DH: If your okay with it.
Me: Be home soon.

Some days, simple decisions are SO hard to make!! lol

Dried Up

I think my daily blogging has dried up anything interesting I have to say!
My hat is off to Nettie and Kissy, who blog so much.

It's hard work!!!

You sure I gotta do this every day, all month?

Oh my! are we all in trouble!!

Isn't it January yet??

But, I'm willing to wade thru, if it keeps Kissy and Nettie and JustAL bloggin, as reading thier blogs daily, truly makes my days!

Evil Elf

Meet Evil Elf.

I love Elf, but Dear Hubby and Doodles have named it *Evil Elf*.

Elf joined this world about the time I was born, so he's been around for a long time.

My Grandma G. made Elf and I was given it when she passed away, I was 17 then.

Elf has been with me thru some really rough Christmases and some really good Christmases.

This Christmas will be one of the harder ones, the first without daddy.

But! I have Elf for the memories, as Grandma G. was daddy's mom, and every Christmas Eve, we would all gather at Grandma G. for Graham Cracker Candy and prezzies.
Daddy and Mom was divorced when I was three, so I had Christmas Eve with Daddy and Peg and Christmas Day with mom.

So I got to see Elf every Christmas Eve with lots of family around, so he's an old friend.

Anyway, Dear Hubby renamed him *Evil Elf*, due to the way his eyes follow you around.

We always know it's Christmas time when we hear Dear Hubby exclaim "NOT!! Evil Elf again!", as Elf is lovingly put under the tree to 'watch' our every move.

Simply Nice

Today has been a nice day.

Not just 'a' nice day, but one of those days, that, when you look back on it, was simply, lovely, nice.

Nothing that really stands out, nothing jumping out at you, no particular moment when you could say, 'Now, that, made my day!'.

Simply Nice.

JustAL and I left the kids with Nan (JustAL's mum), and we left about 6:30 this morning with a group of friends (7 of us) and went to London, well, Godstone to be exact.

We had a really nice, calm, peaceful morning, and headed home about 11:00 or so and arrived home about 1:30.
No car parks on the motorway, traffic flowing nicely.
I wasn't driving, as we all went in Kristin and Blakes people carrier (they have 6 kids, so it's big!), which is always.... well, nice.

I made JustAL and I lunch when we got home, which was lovely, as I'd picked up a pack of Oscar Mayer bacon yesterday, and we had bacon and eggs.

Why is that special?

Well, because I'm in England and they don't have American stuff very often, but I have found one store that has Oscar Mayer bacon, and it's rather expensive to get, but I got a pack for us to enjoy.

So, after enjoying that *nice* meal, I ended up laying down and getting an hours kip, which I needed after getting up at 5am.

We had a baptism tonight at church, so the whole family went and a good time was had by all.

It's almost bedtime now, and at the risk of repeating myself (again!), it's been a ..................

Simply Nice Day!

Boggles the mind

August:
Grumpy Daughter: Mum, I'm coming home to go to College.
Mum: Yeah!

Sept:
Grumpy Daughter: Can you buy this for me?
Mom: Yes, but you need to get a part-time job.
Grumpy Daugher: Why? I'm going to school.
Mom: Cuz, you only go to school 3 days a week and you do nothing else.
Grumpy Daughter: Yea, okay

Oct:
Grumpy Daughter: I need money for.........
Mom: I'll pay half, you need to get the other half. You need to get a job! I'll take you into town as I go and you can have a look.
Grumpy Daughter: Yea, right.

Mid Oct:
Mom: Get out of bed and I'm dropping you in town when I go to work to look for a job.
Grumpy Daughter: Muuuuuuuummmmm, today?
Mom: YES!

First of Nov:
Grumpy Daughter: Mum I need..........
Mom: So?
Grumpy Daughter: But I really need......
Mom: Did you go out and look for a job? Come on, I'll take you now.
Grumpy Daughter: I'm busy, later.

Mid Nov:
Grumpy Daughter: Mum.......
Mom: Get a job!
Grumpy Daughter: But.....
Mom: Get dressed, I'll take you now to look, I'll even sit in the car and wait on you.
Grumpy Daughter: *slams bedroom door*

End of long month:
Mom: (Saturday) Just so you know, if you don't have a job by Thursday, you are grounded from going out, Come on, Dad and I will take you into town.
Mom: (Sunday) Don't forget, you have to have a job by Thursday.
Mom: (Monday) Don't forget, you have to have a job by Thursday, or no going out.
Mom: (Tuesday) Ditto
Grumpy Daughter: (Wednesday morning) I'm going into work with you when you go, so I can go job looking.
Mom: I'm not going into work today.
Grumpy Daughter: Take me into town.
Mom: Nope, I'm not going to work to save petrol, so NO, walk.
(Note: Town is only about a 10 minute walk from our house, JustAL does it daily)
Grumpy Daughter: Humphf!
Grumpy Daughter who DIDN'T go job looking: (Wed. Night) I'm going out with Bunny Boy.
Mom: Enjoy your last night out, you don't have a job, so this is it till you get one.
Grumpy Daughter: No Way!! It's YOUR fault I don't have a job, you wouldn't take me into town today!!

Mom:

Can I just say..............................................

Anybody see a theme here??? ha!

Darkness

Picking up Doodles from school today at 3:30, I realized the necessity of putting on my car lights.

When we got home, about 5 minutes later, I noticed needing to turn on lights as I entered.

This is probably the hardest time of year for me. It gets dark so early and the days tend to be grey and blah, and I tend to get a bit glum.

I don't think I'm alone in this, as my mom says she'd never make it living here, as the winter lack of sunlight would depress her.

I guess that if you've always been use to it, it doesn't effect you as bad, but for us transplanted Okie's, it's tough some days.

I've been here 8 yrs now, can you believe it??

I remember when I first came over to 'date' JustAL and everyone had it set up for me to email at certain times, 'just in case'.
What if he's an axe murderer? What if he's a sexual deviant? What if he's married?

Well, I can safely say, after 8 yrs of marriage, he's not an axe murderer, in fact, he doesn't like me near sharp objects, as I tend to cut myself.

He's not a sexual de......... okay, let me think about this one (ha!! joke!!)

And guess what, he IS married! at least now! ha! to me!

So guess that ya'll should have been protecting HIM from me! Poor guy has suffered thru 8 yrs with me, ya'll protected the wrong one! ha!

Hey! how did I get on this subject? I was talking about the dark! Man, is my mind rambling today!

How hard can it be?

The title of my blog is Simply Me, the web page is Simply Saundra.

So.........
How hard can it be, to be, not only Simple, but Me?

How hard can my life be?

I have 8 bosses in my life to tell me what to do, so I don't even really have to think.

9 bosses! Can you imagine?

Can you????

1. God- Without him, I'm nothing
2. Dear Hubby- Without him, I'd be lost
3. Doc C. - Main Doc and a real joy (no! really!, he's our much loved GP who keeps me ticking!)
4. Cardiologist #1 (Bossy, but nice)
5. Cardiologist #2 (Bossy, but grumpy)
6. Hemo Consultant (kinda sorta possibly could be, type of doc)
7. Boss J. (suppose to be my boss on another continent)
8. Boss T. (suppose to be the boss, of my boss, on another continent)
9. Doodles/Grumpy Daughter (Bossy and Grumpy and total joys (NO! Really! okay, sometimes)

So, how can it be hard to know exactly what to do, when to do it, and when your done, when to get off it, when you have so many Bosses?

Trust me...........

It is.

"THE" Certificate

If you remember, last Friday, Doodles had an awards assembly.

The Certificate was for swimming, which has been a big deal for Doodles, as he's afraid of water, or more specifically, water in swimming pools.

The award was a big deal, as it's the Deputy Head's award, given to only a few students a year, and he was the only one in this assembly that received one, so he was chuffed.

So, here is the requested picture of Doodles receiving his award from his teacher, Mr. J and also, a pic of the award itself.

Suck it. Don't Bite it.

Dear Hubby awoke this morning with a sore throat and a slight cough.
Probably to much Thanksgiving yesterday! ha!

About 4:30 this afternoon, Dear Hubby shut down the office (which being the boss he's allowed to do), and we all (all 4 of us, that is) headed down to the local pub for a company send off of one of the our employees who has resigned.
Enjoyed a couple of hours with adult company, before heading home to the kids.

By the time we get home, Dear Hubby has pretty much lost his voice (aaaaaaahhhhhhh! peace and quiet! ha!), and has gotten quite marge simpson sounding.
He pops a Strepsil in his mouth and then I hear.................. crunch! crunch! crunch!

"What are you doin? Your suppose to suck it!! not bite it!! What good will it do your throat if it's already in your tummy before it melts??"

So he gives me a sheepish look as he pretends he's not bitten that much and proceeds to suck it.

Well, Doodles is in bed reading, Grumpy Daughter is out with Bunny Boy and it's nice and peaceful.
Guess it's time to wind down and enjoy the evening.

Tomorrow will be time to start decorating for Christmas!

Wednesday, 21 November 2007

What are you thankful for?

I know it's been a few days since blogging, and my Dear Hubby 'reminded' me tonight, of that, so I will try to rectify this now.

I've been a bit ill this week, and due to the pain, I've left lots of things undone, the blog being one.

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving, and we'll be joining 3 other American families to celebrate. We go to Church with the families and all tend to get on well.
My only concern is how our nerves will hold up to all the ppl in one house! lol
One family has 6 kids (from 12 down to 1 yr old), next family has 5 kids ( 15 to 4 yrs) and then the third has 1 (2 yrs) and then our two, please 4 sets of parents.

I'm scared! lol

It's actually a Blessing, as I'd not be able to do alot of the cooking, and it would fall to Allan, so I'm thankful that we was invited and only have a bit of baking to do.

Tomorrow morning, we will make some homemade dinner rolls and the cornbread dressing. Tonight I made some pimento cheese, yes that's right, they don't have it over here, so I figured out how to make it from scratch with ingredients they have here, so I made some for tomorrow.

What will I miss the most that they don't do here? Pumpkin Pie, Yams!(with marshmallows on top!) and cranberry sauce and proper GCC.

But, I have my family, and though not my health, I'm thankful that I awoke this morning and I'm thankful, as I lay my head down tonight, that I'm next to my soul mate and eternal companion, who I love dearly and I told my children that I love them as much as possible and I'm thankful for my friends, who put up with me.

Happy Thanksgiving family and friends, I love you!

One for Simbaby

Doodles is sick today, so him and I drove daddy and sissy to church and dropped them off, as we didn't want him spreading his lurgy around church and us getting it back in a few weeks.

On the way back home, we had this conversation:

Doodles: Mummy
Mom: Yes?
Doodles: Did you have crayons when you was a little girl?
Mom: Yes I did
Doodles: No, I mean when you was 5 or 4, did they actually make crayons then?
Mom: Yes, I'm not that old!
Doodles: What could they have used back then?
Mom: Wax, just like todays crayons.
Doodles: So daddy had crayons too, since your so much older?
Mom: Is there a point to this conversation?
Doodles: Yes
Mom: What is it, to make me feel old?
Doodles: No, your only *bbbbeeeepppp*
Mom: Why did you beep?
Doodles: So I wouldnt' say your age.
Mom: Thanks, I think
Doodles: Mummy
Mom: Yes?
Doodles: You really had wax crayons back then??

So, Simbaby, could you please let Doodles know that yes, there was crayons, way back when!

Heat to the Herat (heart)

O ye ye ye yeeees My herat is so cold

This is an exact copy(spelling and all!) of the song written by Doodles.
He's very proud of it, but has decided that songwriting is not his thing.... lol

Simply Short

This will be a short one, but I wanted to blog before I got to tired.

LOTR is playing in the background, I love these movies, and Dear Hubby has just headed off to bed.

I too, will be heading that way, as soon as Grumpy Daughter gets in for the night. Her curfew is 10:30 on Sunday night, so she should be strolling in, oh, about 10:29:59. HA!

I hope everyone had a nice Saturday and are prepared to blog about it!

As a teaser, I leave you with this thought.............

Doodles decided he wanted to write a country song, the title is 'Heat to the Heart'.

Gotta wait till tomorrow for more on this!

My Favourite Uncle

I have an Uncle, I'll call him Uncle Eddie, he's wonderful.

I have an Aunt, I'll call her Auntie Robyn and she's wonderful.

Now Uncle Eddie is not much older than me......... Actually.......... he's years and years and years older than me (I'm only 21 after all!!)

I grew up with Uncle Eddie, I'm sure being 11 yrs younger than him, I drove him nuts, but I only remember him with love and kindness.

I didn't see Uncle Eddie for about 25 yrs, I think. I was about 18 last time I seen him, until this past summer.

Early this year, February, I think, I found out daddy had lung cancer, so, even though he'd had surgery and was well on the way to recover (so we'd been told), Dear Hubby and I decided the kids and I would go over and spend time, and Dear Hubby would come over toward the end of the Holiday.
I thank God every day that we made that decision and that my Dear Hubby made it possible, as daddy passed away this past June and I was able to spend time with him.

Anyway, when I was called back to OKC from Texas, I left Dear Hubby and the kids in Texas, and I was in OKC for a week, without them, and we'd found out that daddy was terminal and spending this time with him, became paramount to me, as I knew that chances where slim that I would be able to see him again.

Uncle Eddie became the 'patriarch' of lots of grieving 'kids' (I have 5 siblings) and between him and my older brother, they made sure that we was all taken care of and things were taken care of and he was our rock.

I became closer to Uncle Eddie and my brother than I have ever been in my life.

I met Auntie Robyn for the first time when I went back to OKC to say goodbye to daddy in June.
Auntie Robyn and I got along so well, it's as if I've known and loved her forever.
She can shop! She's cool! Robyn Rocks! lol

It's strange, how ppl that you've never known or havent' seen in years, can instantaneously become so very important in your life.

Or in the case of the Parksters, how ppl you have never met, or only met briefly, can become so well loved and such an everyday part of your existence.

So I want to thank you all, for being such wonderful friends.

And you too Uncle and Auntie, for being wonderful!

Early Blog

Well, no one faint or anything, but thought I'd blog early today. (Won't mention, I just wanna get it over with! ha!)

No award for Doodles today, as he's home sick today.
Mr. J said that he'll hold onto the award till next Friday's assembly, so stay tuned for the discovery of what Doodles has achieved this week!

No work for me today, with Doodles off sick, so I'm not at the office to drive Dear Hubby batty with adiuming him. Guess I'll just have to yahoo him crazy instead! ha!

Amazing, but Dear Hubby and my desk is only a few feet apart, but only talk thru adium. Guess it's so the other employees don't get ill with all the mushy talk, they must think Dear Hubby and I never talk to each other...... if they could only see what we type though!! lol

Not much happening here, so hopefully everyone (YOU! know who you are!!) will start blogging soon, so I have plenty to read!

Two for One

You get Two for One tonight on my blog, as I forgot last night to blog, so, not only am I blogging early this evening, but you can pretend it's for yesterday too! ha!

Dear Hubby and I enjoyed a quiet evening of television last night.
Okay, Okay, I enjoyed a quiet evening of television, and the gentle sound of a chain saw coming from the recliner next to me.

Yesterday was great, Doodles did so well in his class assembly, we was really proud of him.
Doodles has always had great GREAT trouble being in around a large group of people, as he's always been shy.
We had to stop taking him to his friends birthday parties at one time, as he would just cry.

Class assemblies have always been a horrendous experience for him, always resulting in Doodles hiding behind his teacher and sobbing his heart out or, if Dear Hubby or I could reach him, he'd cry in our laps.
This started from day one of school, when he was 2 yr 9 months old and then suddenly, the end of last year, when he was 6, it was as if he'd finally got over the fright, and suddenly blossomed into this wonderful self assured little boy (sorry, MAN).
We first noticed it at church, when he'd actually go to his primary class without tears, and then, it was amazing, the first time, he actually joined the primary class for a song in church up front.

Then came another dreaded class assembly at school, and Dear Hubby, being totally swamped with work, said that he wouldn't be able to attend, and besides, Doodles never joined in with it, so this time he opted out.... HA!

So when I got home, I got to tell hubby how wonderful Doodles was in the first assembly he actually did! Needless to say, Dear Hubby hasn't missed one since!
Now, he's the star of the show and loves it.
We really enjoyed watching yesterday.

Just as I was climbing into bed last night, Dear Hubby asks 'Did you blog?'
HA! Here I am, about to be wrapped in warmth with my lovely fluffy duvet and he thinks i'm gonna go blog then? ha! NOT!

Today has been pretty uneventful, though busy, at least for me! My days usually consist of resting most of the time, but today, I didn't make it home to rest until about 1pm, and had to leave to get Doodles about 2:30 and I'm sure I'll pay for it later, but it was a nice day. Sometimes it's just nice to be able to do things most ppl take for granted.

OH! More good news! Mr. J, Doodles' Year 3 teacher, told me today that Doodles is recieving an award tomorrow at another assembly, he wouldn't say what it is, so Dear Hubby and I will be there with happy grins, watching our little Demon King Ravana receive an award for something.
Will keep you updated!

Are ya'll bored with my family yet?? I could give ya'll a break and not blog for awhile!!

Who'd have thunk it?

Who remembers the 'certificates' that was handed out in Vegas 8 yrs ago at the Park Bash/Weddings/Honeymoon?

Anyone remember who got what??

I actually still have Dear Hubby's and mine, and his says 'biggest pain in the butt' (can't imagine why he got that! ha!) and mine was 'sweetest person' (ha! had ya'll fooled! lol)

Who'd have ever thunk it, that the two of us would be together 8 yrs later, with a lovely 7 yr old Park baby (sorry, MAN)

Well, I have to say, the 'biggest pain in the butt' has turned into the most amazing and wonderful Dear Hubby who is loved totally and eternally by a very grateful wife.

Okay, anyway, back to the certificates..................
Anyone remember what they were and who got them? Come on guys, surely someone remembers!

I sure miss the Park days!

The Forgotten Child

Here has been my afternoon..............
Picked Doodles up from school and came home and got him his after school snack and juice, and then went out to check the dryer.
Came in and spun the washer again.
Then I thought, "Ooooohh! Dear Hubby loves mushroom soup and has been asking for it, so I will just make it for him today", so proceeded to butcher up lots of innocent mushrooms.

Then I remembered the dryer.... ooops, so out I went (our dryer is outside in our pantry) and brought in the laundry, got the clothes out of the washer and took them out to the dryer.

Went back into the kitchen and grabbed an onion to dice up... was that the door? Went and answered the door and it was the workman who came to refit a door in Grumpy Daughters room, so took him in there and was totally mortified by the state of the daughters room and proceeded to offer tons of apologies, as well as turning every shade of red of embarrassment.

Darn! the soup! Left the workman to it, and went and chopped up the onion and add it to the broth and the mushrooms.
HHHmmmmm, Garlic would be nice in it, so took some fresh garlic and peeled and...... was that the phone? Doodles? answering the phone? that could be bad.......

Mom: Doodles? was that the phone?
Doodles: yep
Mom: who was it?
Doodles: don't know, sounded like Debbie.
Mom: What did the person who sounds like Debbie want?
Doodles: eeerrrrr she said there's no Seminary tonight and to tell Sissy.
Mom: Doodles, it's Monday night, there's never any Seminary on Monday nights, it's on Tuesday nights, is that what the lady that sounds like Debbie meant?
Doodles: I don't know, I forget......

Okay, so now I 1471 and find out that is was indeed Debbie, and call her and leave a message for her to call me back so I can get the correct message for Grumpy Daughter.

OH NO! The soup! I chop up the Garlic and put it into the pot with the other things and put it on low.

Debbie calls back and I duly note done the correct message to pass on to Grumpy Daughter....

Workman is done, so usher him out and notice it's almost 6, time to get Dear Hubby from work.
Get Doodles out the door, get Dear Hubby from work and head back home.
Go in and spin clothes in washer, stir mushroom soup, fix Dear Hubby and I something hot to drink (it's freezing tonight!).
Sit down on the couch with my cup a soup and start to relax...........

Doodles, why are you staring at me like that? When you look at me like that, you've either done something wrong, or you want something.... What did you do wrong?

Doodles: I don't want nothing, I'm just hungry!!

OH NO!!! I forgot to feed our 'Now I'm a Man' child supper!!!!!
(poor thing! He's use to eating at 5pm and it's now 6:30!)

Duh!!!!

CheddarVision

Okay, now you know i'm officially boring!

Here is my newest laugh, it's called Cheddar Vision.

It's a LIVE stream of cheddar cheese, that is aging and will auctioned off when it's well aged for charity.

Aging Cheddar? Is that any better than watching paint dry??

Don't everyone get all excited now! lol

Gotta love them!

Well, I've started two blogs tonight, and deleted them both.
I have no idea what to write and it's so late, i'm not sure I can think of anything.

Dear Hubby and I had a church meeting tonight in Coventry, we left our son with his nan here at home with orders for him to go to bed at 8pm and not give her any guff.

We get home at 9pm and guess who is on the couch.... wide awake... trying to hide under pillows.
Yep, you guessed it, Doodles, who was suppose to go to bed at 8pm.

He will still get up at 6am, just as he does everyday.

Gotta love them!

Losers, Blogs and Cops

Here it is 10:42pm and my hubby decided that it was time for me to blog, so here I am blogging before the new show we watch comes on at 11pm. Back to that in a moment......

I told Dear Hubby that I have no idea what to blog today..... Boring Day! So he said to blog about him being a loser, but he's not a loser, he's a wonderful, thoughtful, caring Dear Hubby who takes care of me with no complaints. Oops, think I just blew his mean and sarcastic cover, so sorry. HA!

Now, back to our show..... Dallas SWAT! We love our Friday night SWAT show, makes me feel like home..... ha!

Nothing so exciting here! The most excitement we get, is the frequency of two of my mates coming to visit in uniform, they are police officers and Dear Hubby says that all the neighbors must think that I am a really naughty person, since they visit me quite often during the day while he's at work.
I just have all ya'll fooled into thinking I'm nice! ha!

Well, Teen has just made it home from her evening out, so time to lock up the house, snuggle up with Dear Hubby and enjoy the show.

Parent Angst

Why do they call it Teenage Angst?
It's the parents that have to be insecure and anxiety ridden!

Take our child.... (Please do!) ha!

She is 18 and she knows everything, so therefore, WE should be insecure in our knowledge of knowing what's best....

Because she knows everything and has no need of doing her chores (she is AFTER ALL 18), and proceeds to let us know that by childish tantrums polite shows of temper, WE should be apprehensive about asking her to do them and end up with great anxiety after we do the unmentionable and order them done.

Said to Teen "Is the dryer done?" (Remember, she knows everything!)
Teen "I don't know" long pause "should be"
Said to Teen "Did you get the clothes out?"
Teen "well no!"
long pause...............
Said to Teen "Are you going to get the clothes out?"
Teen "yea"
long long long pause as she looks dazedly at the tv
Said to Teen "anytime soon?"
Teen "you are so unfair, I said I didn't know if they are done!"

hhhhhmmmmmm..........

So, why is it Teenage Angst?

I have Angst, and it's Teenage Angst, or at least Angst due to Teenager!

Gotta love 'em! lol

Bloggin

Well, as everyone, has decided I need to start bloggin now, instead of in December, here I am. I can't promise daily posts, but I will do my best.

I can say though, I don't think I'll go nuts and post 6 in one day, as Dear Hubby did! ha!
